We had a large spruce tree drop on the garage roof. The first thing we noticed is the tree did not go through the roof. Second was the window was not broken.  The Xcel line repair man who came to cut the portion of the tree off the power line was very surprised he did no see any damage to the roof.  Today, we had a tree service remove the rest of the tree off the roof.  They have seen a lot of fallen trees and could not believe how we1l the steel shingles (Unified Steel Stone Coated Steel Shingle) withstood the impact.  A worst, there may be a slight indentation in one small area from when the tree impacted the roof.  Michael and I wanted to share the photographs with you and tell you once again how please we are with the roof.”

I was very pleased working with A.M. Burney Exteriors and especially with the quality of work. I watched as the workers shingled the barn; six on the roof and only two on the same surface. They worked without asking for direction. The action looked choreographed as one person worked on a shingle but still handed a shingle to a colleague just in time for him to fasten it down. The attention to detail and pride of work was remarkable. On a short, 6-inch return, the worker tapped, removed, cut, reattacted, and then tapped some more. He wasn’t completely satisfied so he climbed down and looked at the connection from the ground and then went back up for the final adjustment.

Boral Steel is a remarkable product with numerous options. Some of the patterns will give a checkerboard look and others will be more uniform. Alan can guide you in selecting what you ultimately want to achieve. I may never work with A.M. Burney again because I won’t need a new roof in my lifetime! I have recommended A.M. Burney to others and will continue to do so every chance I get.

Working with Metro Steel and A. M. Burney Exteriors has been excellent. They had great communication throughout the entire project and completed with (within) the timeline that was given. Never in our lives did we think we would get a phone call from our neighbor telling us how beautiful our new roof looks. It truly is a work of art.

My husband and I have been wanting a metal roof for quite a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. We had originally hired another company that did the roof tear off and began installing the drip edge. The drip edge and flashing were not being done correctly and we were in great danger for water getting into our home. It was clear that the company we hired did not know what they were doing and had to part ways before were even further over out head.

We did not know how intricate metal roofs are. We already had all the materials in hand for the project. We made several phone calls explaining our situation and Cliff was the ONLY person willing to take on our job using our materials to help save us money. We felt extremely comfortable with his knowledge of metal roofs and how well he knew his products. What a relief!

Cliff got us in contact with Alan at A.M. Burney Exteriors to get the project going.

They started the project by removing the improperly/poorly installed drip edge and properly flashed areas that needed flashing. They were very detailed when doing these steps to prevent future water damage. Paying close attention to details during the entire project from start to finish is very important and that is just what they did.

Alan and Cliff work very well together. Alan had great communication and kept us posted with where they were at with our roof installation. Alan gave us a start to finish timeline and did an excellent job sticking to it.

We did a final walk though with Alan and Cliff and had a concern and it was handled and addressed immediately. They both take pride in their projects from start to finish and it really shows. Never in our lives did we think we would receive a phone call from our neighbor telling us how beautiful our roof is!

Our metal roof is truly a work of art. It changes the entire look and was worth the investment.

Overall, throughout this project we have learned how intricate metal roofs are and how not just anyone is qualified to take on a job like this.

“I just wanted to share just how refreshing it was to work with Mr. Burney and company.  The project that I contracted with them was comparatively small (a couple of windows) on the scale of their typical projects.  I was concerned that I might be place on the “back burner’ treatment that has become the status quo in my experience.

“Upon completion of our new “energy efficient” roof and restoration of our interior ceilings due to a moisture problem, we feel compelled to write a thank you for a job well done!  It by far, surpassed our expectations!

After searching on the internet; we were looking for different roofing companies including A. M. Burney Exteriors, Inc.  We need someone who could replace our for and fix the interior ceilings without a hitch. A. M. Burney Exteriors, Inc. was quick to respond with a phone call and set up a time for an estimate!

Our two largest factors were quality and price.  We were more than impressed how hard Alan worked to find us the most economical deal!  To top it off, A. M. Burney Exteriors, Inc. had originally quotes us an amount per square foot for the roofing/interior ceilings and would you believe that Alan worked diligently and found us an even less expensive per square footage price than originally quoted!

As for quality, we chose to install the Timberline Cool Series, Energy Efficient Shingles.  Wow, I’m amazed how much a difference it’s made. They started the roof and were completed in one day!  The roofing crew was polite and hardworking and left our premises nice and clean!

The second part of the job was to fix our interior damage due to moisture in the master bedroom and kitchen.  Alan had worked to find the perfect contractor to meet our needs! After some unforeseen circumstances with a couple other (sub) contractors, the decision was made to not hold up the project any longer.  Alan and his wife, Margaret would complete the interior work themselves. They did an outstanding job! They worked with our very busy schedule and made sure we had the least disruptions. Quick side note… Loved the fact that Margaret has a great eye for paint colors!  Gave us some great ideas!

Our roof looks amazing.  We are very happy with the way it turned out.  Not only did your team do an excellent job with the installation of the new decking, shingles, drip edge and ridge vent, they did an AMAZING job with daily clean-up.  We were very impressed! We are very happy with the drip edge that was installed – it really improved the appearance of our ‘wavy’ fascia; which as you know was a concern of ours from the beginning.

The gentleman on your team who installed our gutters did an excellent job.  He listened to our concerns about water flow off the house and how we would ideally like the gutters set up.  He set up the gutters exactly how we tried to explain it to him. They look fantastic and now after a couple of heavy rainfalls – we know they work fantastic as well.  He also did a great job repairing the couple squirrel holes we had in fascia as well. Hopefully those pesky critters move on down the road (and never ever come back (smiley face).

Lastly, thank you so much for putting in two long days staining our fence.  We couldn’t be happier with the results. The stain/color recommendations that you made are perfect and really created a wow factor to our new fence.
