It installed behind the siding, rigid foam insulation has a vapor permeability that allows drying of the wall assembly, acts as an air barrier. The reduction of air infiltration results in better performance of the insulation in the wall cavity.

This heat lost known as thermal bridging.

In addition, it helps to make you home quieter and less likely for moisture infiltration problems.

In the case of a vinyl siding, molded rigid foam insulation adds support to the siding panel helping to maintain its shape and appearance over time.  It also helps to level the wall under your siding, thereby reducing imperfections your wall may have. Yes! To reduce exposure to the elements, normally, siding is installed in Sections. However, if painting is required, we must follow manufacturers recommended  temperatures for painting.

  • Before we begin, we suggest you check with homeowners’ association regulations and your local ordinances to see if there are rules you should be made aware of.
  • Old siding is removed.
  • Inspection for damaged areas that are unseen until siding is removed, repair of these areas.
  • New siding product is installed in sections.
  • All joints are caulked.
  • Meticulous clean up of your yard.

  • Trim back any landscaping foliage that is touching your home.
  • Remove fragile items hanging or on shelves inside your home as screwing and or nailing can cause vibrations and may disturb these items.
  • Plan for a place to put a dumpster.
